Dr. Mookerjee was an Indian politician, academician, and the founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, a precursor to the Bharatiya Janata Party. Born in 1901, he played a key role in shaping Bharat's political landscape post-independence. Beyond his political achievements, Mookerjee was also a highly respected academic, having served as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calcutta.
